In case you missed it, the campaign staff for Obama 2012 has just announced their plan to recruit several million volunteers to help deliver the ‘truth’ about the President’s policies. Stop already! If you believe the spin given by any campaign, on any issue, by the left or the right, as the truth, please do not vote!
Americans have proved themselves apathetic, if not downright ignorant in their quest for information about candidates. More time and effort is spent researching contestants for American Idol, than for the most important leadership positions in our country. Decisions are made with emotions and disinformation more often than with evaluations based on well researched facts. Major elections are won based on the most insane sets of criteria; sadly, truth is rarely part of the criteria.
The President’s campaign can call them Truth Teams if they want, and the winner of the Republican nomination can call their people Lie Detectors, I don’t care. Just don’t make your decisions based upon a biased set of ‘facts’ given to you by anybody. Pretend we are electing an Idol winner and go do some real research.
